Eastertastic Egg-ar-art Competition April 3rd

The Eastertastic Egg-ar-art Competition was a huge success! The students were extremely creative in their designs. They had 15 minutes to produce their ‘egg-art’ masterpieces and coped well with the pressure of the competition.
The SRC did an amazing job planning the event, decorating the hall with balloons and streamers and in organising a selection of music that had the students dancing on their way to the tables. It was a difficult decision selecting the finalists and winners. Many amazing egg designs missed out on being chosen. However everyone had a great time. The event ran smoothly and there were lots of happy, smiling faces!
Five hundred dollars was raised and this will be given to the Royal Children’s Hospital during the Good Friday Appeal.
Well done SRC we can’t wait to see what you will be organising next!

    1. Hi Tdog I like your idea of a drawing competition. How would you organise this? Would you set a date to complete the drawings by and have students do this in their own time or would it be better to orgainse time at school for students to do it. Do you think we would need to have a theme? There has already been a drawing competition of sorts for the school play? How could you make a drawing competition fun and interesting?

  2. Dear Mr Brew and 3/4M,
I really enjoyed the Eastertastic Egg-ar-art Competition and I think the organizers did a really good job at creating it!

  3. Dear Mr Brew,
Could we have another art competition next year like a poppy decorating competition on ANZAC day ?

    1. Yes an art competition associated with ANZAC day is a great idea. We might be able to do that! Perhaps you could try and join the SRC is 2015 and remind us about this early next year.

  4. Dear Mr Brew
The SRC should do a cooking competition. Do you think it is a good idea to do cooking or disco because I think cooking is more important than disco! That’s what I want to know about Mr Brew!

    1. Thanks for your comment Amy. The SRC know that the students at school love cooking activities. This year we have a lunchtime cooking club but lots of children are missing out. We did a cooking competition two years ago so would like to try something different. This is why the SRC is organising a senior dance night. We have never had anything like this before so we would like to give it a go!!!

  5. Dear Mr Brew and all SRC members,
The Eastertastic Egg Art Competition was very enjoyable.
Even though I did not win it was still fun.
I can’t wait for the next activity.

P.S I love all the activities that you guys make. 🙂

    1. Dear Danny,
The SRC are thinking about organising a senior school disco as their next event.
Do you think this is a good idea?
Do you have any suggestions for how it could be organised?

  6. The SRC appreciate your supportive comments and your wonderful thank you card. We know we have been successful if students tell us they enjoy our activities. Thank you 3/4M for your feedback.

We are wondering if students would like to have an evening disco/dance event.
Would you be interested in this?
Do you have any ideas that we could use to make the dance event a success?

  7. Dear SRC,
The Eastertastic Egg Art Competition was EGG-CELLENT and we all enjoyed participating in the fun activity. Thank you to all the SRC members and Mr Brew!

    Sincerely,
    3/4M
